How time flies when your having fun... pulling weeds, pricing stock etc... Yesterday I went to Calais the border is getting disgusting, will take the ferry from now on, think it's suppose to start tomorrow! I actually made some beads for the second time since I got home, the first time was the day it went to 90 and I think it was already over 80 when I started... working with flames in a 90 degree box is so much fun.... The gallery opens today so I will be here every day except for the 3 days G is in charge mid July... I'm driving to Rockland Maine for a workshop...
Of course he says he's going to put a sign on the door that says gone sailing call me on channel 16...

It's still overcast and stormy looking, it did rain almost all day Friday, the hay field was mowed yesterday, I think it needs to be raked though or the piles of 'hay' will start to rot... My clematis does appear to be alive there are a few little shoots coming from the bottom and it looks like there might be some new leaves at the top....
Yesterday morning we went and helped plant roses at the new Gazebo at the ferry landing, G dug holes I filled them in, I let people with gloves poke the roses in the hole first! The money to beautify the ferry landing came from a government grant, the money is generated by pop bottle refunds... I think we pay 5 cents per bottle and get 3 cents back the 'redemtion depot' gets 1 cent and the government gets 1... ?something like that... in Saskatchewan we paid 10 and got 10... SK would be a good province to haul bottles too!
When we first moved here we didn't have a clue what a redemtion depot was......

I'm home! I was on line in Watrous one more time but there were so many people that I spent my alloted half hour deleting spam... So much fun. It is now pouring rain, It was thundering all morning when the thunder stopped the rain started! We spent the morning building IKEA display cases, everything went together, and we had all the parts... and none of the glass broke on our shortcut from Wawa to Sudbury 90 km of potholes and washboard, I still haven't unpacked most of the pottery, hopefully it survived too!
The cabin is officially sold, and I did go swimming the last day we were there... it was cold! Coming home we saw a bunch more moose including one with Antlers, not sure I've every seen a moose with antlers before, he was posing beside the road but I couldn't get a picture before he took off!
The lawn here is gross but off course since it's raining it will just get to grow for another day or two, I have lots of flowers blooming in amongst the weeds.... While I was at Manitou I dug up a piece of Monkshood which I think survived the trip home and a wild clematis which probably didn't make it... right now the clematis looks a bit like a dried marijuana plant... so no we didn't come home through the states!
Em wasn't home when we got here at 10 pm last night he wandered in about 11:30 howling.... once he discovered we were home he came up and spent the first couple of hours smaking me accross the face with his paw/claws to make sure I was really there then about 2 am he wormed his way onto the bed and had his head on the pillow beside G... G is of the no cats on the bed school... Em is from the you let me do once so I can do it every night school... We'll have to see who wins!
I managed to time my Toronto nights with the Toronto lampworkers dinner, I was there for it last year too, there were 25 people there this year, the reservation was made for 16, we kept adding tables, I think the waiter was getting PO'd as every time a table was added people played musical chairs... It's fun to meet people that you read about in the forums etc...
I'm opening the gallery tomorrow for the weekend , will open daily next Friday...

Back at the Watrous library, sunny but windy and cool today, spent yesterday in Saskatoon.... Went wading in the lake on Tuesday, but the beaches are all under water as the lake is very high!

June 5
We're in Watrous at the library, the weather is hot and sunny so far... we were ahead of most of the rain as we were driving...., we saw a few moose (PL mice?) and I saw one bear G saw two. I'm trying to find the flower gardens, think most of my lilies got stolen last summer so that leaves weeds and daisy's....
